Eid will be on Tuesday 20th July 2021
Date: 2nd April 2020
Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
The management of Norbury Islamic Academy pray that you are well and in the best of Imaan.
Just a kind reminder that all prayers and activities at Norbury Islamic Academy are still suspended until further notice due to the Coronavirus situation. We make du'a to Allah swt that He keeps us patient and strong during this trial we are facing and we pray that Allah gives us the opportunity once again to congregate in our masjid for our prayers and Islamic activities.
To protect our community from trials and evils, it is vital that the we as a community continue to give Lillah (charity) regularly to the masjid.
'Indeed good deeds take away bad deeds.' (Qur'an 11:114)
We encourage our Norbury Muslim community to continue giving Lillah regularly and specifically on Fridays so that Allah swt. protects us from the trials and tribulations and He makes it as a means of earning the pleasure of Allah. Allah makes a special mention of those who maintain the masjid in the Qu'ran:
'The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.' (Qur'an 9:18)
And in terms of consistently doing good actions like giving charity, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, 'The dearest of actions to Allah is that which is done regularly, even if it is small.' (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
If you had a habit of making a Lillah contribution during Jumuah, please setup a weekly standing order using the bank account details given below. Also use these details if you prefer to make a one off or regular contributions:
